Tuition and Fees |
|
Below is a table showing tuition for the 2010-11 dance year. Tuition payments may be made monthly for your convenience, and are calculated by dividing the annual tuition into 9 payments, due Sept. through May by the 8th of the month. Tuition is an annual expense that covers your child’s instruction and participation for the dance year, regardless of absences or vacations that occur in any given month. Missed classes may be made up, but tuition payment is still due and no refunds of tuition will be given for missed classes. To calculate tuition, add up the number of hours your child(ren) is/are dancing per week. Then, move across to the right to see the annual tuition and monthly payment amount. WITHDRAWING FROM CLASS: Please note that 30 days written notice (letter or e-mail) is required for withdrawal from a class. Tuition continues to be due until 30 days after written notice is received. |

Registration FeeThere is a $25 registration fee per student due at the beginning of each dance year. This fee covers administrative costs and is due at the time of registration. The fee increases to $30 for registrations received after Sept. 3. Late FeeA late fee of $25 will be applied if tuition payment is not received by the 8th of the month. VCB does not have a billing service, so it is the parent’s responsibility to pay tuition on time. Checks may be placed in the tuition mailbox on the wall outside the office, mailed to the P.O. Box, or payment may be made online using PayPal. Bounced Check/Unusable Credit Card Number FeeThere will be a fee of $35 for each bounced check. There will be a fee of $25 for each instance of submitting an unusable credit card number for payment. VCB will attempt to bill the credit card number three times before assessing the $25 fee. Non-Payment of TuitionIf tuition is 30 days or more overdue, students will be barred from classes and performances until accounts are made current. In addition, the $25 registration fee will be reapplied. Performance Fee for Ballet ProductionsTo offset the considerable cost of staging the classical ballets, VCB has instituted a performance fee of $60 per student, per production for students in Pre-Grade 1 and higher. The fee for Pre-Ballet students is $40 per production. These fees are due by Oct. 15 for the December performance and by March 15 for the June performance. Performance fees help pay for: Costumes Set construction and painting Theater rental Lighting rental Guest artists Program and ticket printing Backstage crew (setting up and tearing down the stage sets and flooring) Sewing Professional videotaping Royalty fees
