The Virginia Civic Ballet (VCB) is the first and only professional adult company of paid and contracted dancers serving Marshall, Warrenton, The Plains and surrounding areas. Our adult company dancers have years of diverse training in a variety of techniques ranging from modern dance to ballet. The dancers also contribute as choreographers and as mentors to the VCB Conservatory students.
VCB's professional troup performs year-round in events including major ballet productions with our conservatory, modern dance performances in the spring, First Night Warrenton, and at the Warrenton Senior Center, as well as children's productions at the Marshall Community Center and at Highland.
VCB's set repertoire includes two full-length classical ballets - one in the winter and one in the late spring. These productions include company, conservatory students, and guest artists. Each spring, the professional troup members (along with select, qualified apprentices) perform an ecclectic production incorporating modern, modern ballet and one-act musicals for mature audiences.
