Pre-Ballet I: Ages 4-5 (Pre-K) Dancers will learn the basic concepts of movement (level, space, direction, etc.) through dance games. The class will focus on increasing teamwork, listening skills, and following directions. Students will also learn dances, which they will have the opportunity to perform on stage.
Pre-Ballet II: Ages 5-6 (K-1st grade) Students will start a simple ballet barre and begin learning theory (language of ballet). The class will continue to explore concepts of dance through dance games that challenge the student to work in a group. Students will have the opportunity to perform 1-2 dances in the major productions.
Ballet 1-A: At least age 7 (2nd grade and up) Students will add steps to the ballet barre, increase ballet theory, and begin to learn simplified steps from the Grade 1 syllabus. Students will also learn dance concepts through games that encourage creative thinking. Students will have the opportunity to perform 1-2 dances in the major productions
